Agenda

  • 9:00 - 9:30 am Welcome, sign-in, coffee, tea and bagels
  • 9:30 - 11:30 Elissa Malespina, School Library Media Specialist, Author, and Podcast Host will present on incorporating social media into K-12 libraries and classrooms.
  • 11:30 - 12:30 Lunch, business meeting, and selection of Enthusiastic Reader winners.
  • 12:30 - 2:30 Krista White, Digital Humanities librarian and the Head of Media Services at the Dana Library-Rutgers (Newark) will demonstrate how to use maps and mapping to integrate technology into the K-12 classroom. The session focuses on creative uses of HistoryPin to develop “spatial literacy.”
  • 2:30 - 3:30 Grade Level Library Articulation – Elementary, Middle & HS Librarians from around the county will share ideas concerning best practices in teacher collaboration, collection development, and instruction.
